They strive to improve the lives of patients, their families, and communities. Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced OVA Trainer to join the OHS team. As an OVA Trainer, you will play a vital role in delivering quality training programs aimed at equipping our staff with the skills to therapeutically manage clinical aggression in the workplace. Your primary objective will be to prevent, reduce, and manage the impact of aggressive or violent incidents that may occur within a clinical environment. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the lead trainer to deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to meet the needs of a diverse workforce. Design and deliver workshops addressing area-specific concerns related to clinical aggression. Review and analyze incident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide operational support to teams managing challenging patient behaviors. Assess training outcomes and participate in ongoing evaluation processes. Maintain training records and prepare reports for management. Key Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Allied Health, or equivalent. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Cert IV in Assessment & Workplace Training (working towards or equivalent). Extensive clinical experience with a broad understanding of aggression management. Commitment to occupational health and safety. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing environments. Proficiency in computer applications including Office 365 and incident reporting software. Additional Information: This position requires a current Victorian Driver's License and the ability to travel between multi-metro sites as needed. Previous experience in training within clinical settings, particularly in aggression management, is desirable.
