Explore all of our comprehensive services here.About the RoleBaxter Wing 6 – Oncology and HaematologyBaxter Wing 6 is the Oncology and Haematology Inpatient Unit of Cancer Services. The busy and dynamic unit is a 28 bed ward that cares for acutely unwell cancer patients from Geelong and the South West Region. Our core services include acute care for haematology patients, including peripheral stem cell transplants, medical oncology and radiation oncology patients. BAX6 is a purpose built cancer ward that is a great working space but is also provides comfort and privacy for our patients.Apply now for this rare opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and work in the oncology unit. Contribute advanced skills in clinical decision making - in particular in problem identification and solution, and analysis and interpretation of clinical dataDevelop education plans for strategic directions of the unit in conjunction with NUM and CNE.Acting as a resource person to others in relation to clinical practiceUndertake special projects or reports required by Nurse Unit Manager on a wide range of issues.
