**Description**
**The position**
As RES continues to expand its portfolio of assets and services globally there’s an increasing need to adapt the management and operation of the systems and services that support Operational Technology (OT). To address this need, RES has established an OT function under the Chief Information Office (CIO).
This role will play a key part within the OT function in the Australian region.
The RES Operational Technology environment is critical to how RES delivers its core business services and this role is vital to ensuring Operational Technology serving the Australian region is robustly maintained, secured and adapted to support business change.
This role supports the OT Function in ensuring:
+ OT systems and infrastructure performs and scales to support business growth ambitions
+ Appropriate data acquisition, system resilience and cyber security capabilities are inherent in OT system design and operation
+ OT standardization and simplification practices are progressively established globally
+ OT improvement projects are effectively supported in terms of technology delivery into operations
+ Technology and service cost optimization measures are continually assessed and practiced
The post-holder will be required to travel to RES sites to establish and maintain excellent key stakeholders and customer relations.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Undertake incident response and resolution for RES owned or maintained central and site-based OT systems and infrastructure to uphold agreed levels of data acquisition and asset reliability which allow RES to robustly deliver its business services
+ Execute business requests and technical changes impacting OT systems in line with agreed standards and service levels
+ Co-ordinate and/or undertake the delivery of technology changes associated to projects so to progressively improve the standardization, performance, security and scalability of OT systems and infrastructure
+ Perform technical planning to ensure repeatable and timely execution of the adoption of new generation sites into a BAU support regime provided by the OT Function
+ Prepare and roll-out cost effective and efficient management plans covering the maintenance, repair, back-up and updating of RES managed site-based OT / SCADA systems
+ Assess OEM-proposed SCADA system or infrastructure upgrades, to ensure upgrades are compatible with RES and third party Site access systems
+ Assist in providing OT system upgrade recommendations to Clients demonstrating the operational, security and financial benefits
+ Support adoption (on-boarding) of a new assets (solar, wind, or battery storage facilities) to integrate with RES 24/365 Control Centers and RES-developed software tools using skills and experience in networking, firewall configuration, user access controls and system performance and security monitoring
+ Build and maintain internal and external relationships with key partners and industry bodies to ensure success, (such as maintaining awareness of industry and OEM system enhancements)
+ Deliver and support OT solutions to support the development of the RES platforms and software such as UNO and Smart respectively
+ Assist the development of architecture standards for OT globally and their practical application into technology design and deployments in both site construction and adoption scenarios
+ Assist the identification and where approved the introduction of new technologies which will help the business grow, enhance OT resilience and business competitiveness.
+ Support the OT Manager in producing regular reporting to track OT systems operational performance in terms data acquisition and system and infrastructure reliability within the OT Team and to key Australian business stakeholders in particular in Support Services
+ Follow best practice OT cyber security standards in adherence with the RES Cyber Security Framework and related Australian frameworks and standards, such as the AESCSF, to support the key business objectives of RES and our clients
+ Oversee security penetration testing of OT systems and infrastructure to ensure the effective management and remediation of any resulting improvement actions
+ Maintain along with team members a knowledge management repository for OT system and infrastructure to uphold service levels on change delivery and operational support
+ Be an exemplary role model to encourage the avoidance of risk-taking behaviours across the business and provide the personal commitment never to “risk it”
Knowledge
Skills
+ Knowledge of cyber security and IT infrastructure in relation to OT systems and infrastructure
+ Knowledge of good practice design, implementation and operation of IT or OT environments at operational sites and using Azure cloud-based services
+ Good knowledge of technology governance processes covering financial management, project management, compliance and IT risk management.
+ Knowledge and experience of delivering and supporting large scale OT or IT infrastructure changes
+ Proven experience of managing and partnering with 3rd party service providers
+ Awareness and understanding of Cyber security principles, frameworks and standards e.
g. ISO27001, NIST-CSF and AESCSF
+ Uses a ‘business outcome’ approach and style to delivering technology change
+ Proven ability to engage, build strong relationships, influence, and partner with stakeholders across functions and geographies.
+ Credible and capable; able to quickly build the confidence in senior managers and peers

Experience
Qualifications
**_Essential_**
+ Experience and track record working in the design and support of enterprise and IT or OT infrastructures and related cyber security systems
+ A capable, all-round technologist, preferably in the B2B sector, with experience of change and transformation.
+ Experienced gained in the Construction, Utilities or a project-based business
+ Accustomed to dealing with senior managers and exceptionally customer focused.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of technical/Infrastructure architectures and standards
+ Experience of deploying and supporting leading Cyber Security and network infrastructure technologies such as firewalls, routers, switches, vulnerability scanners and authentication services
+ A track record of bringing innovative ideas that deliver a competitive edge in terms of process and efficiency.
+ Developed and delivered IT or OT changes that have driven business growth
**_Desirable_**
+ Solid foundation knowledge of spanning Build and Run/ Service Delivery
+ Experience of working in geographically distributed teams.

+ Accreditation or certification relating architecting, deploying and securing IT or OT related cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and Google
+ Vendor qualifications or equivalent in leading Wintel firewall and networking technologies such as Fortinet and Cisco
