A service based in Thornbury is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 28 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!
Hours will be Monday –Friday, 07:00 – 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 03:00 – 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 3 additional admin hours.
In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $1000 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $1000 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration About us

About the service
Based in Thornbury , this school has plenty of room for fun activities with a large hall, access to a kitchen and outdoor space as well. The service itself is small so you'll get to know each child well, and have plenty of community engagement.
Who are we looking for?
A few basics you need to have:
Willingness to learn Strong communication and relationship building skills Ability to take initiative and lead Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children Australian work rights Currently studying an ACECQA approved Diploma such as those based in education, health or the community (visit the ACECQA website for more information)
OR willing to undertake a Traineeship with us
