This position is responsible for organising and delivering parks and recreation operational and capital programs and shall provide the operational leadership of parks and recreation activities. In this position, you will see yourself reporting to the Manager Infrastructure, Parks and Recreation and will oversee a team comprised of Team Leaders in Clermont, Dysart & Middlemount. As the Overseer, you will be supporting the Team Leaders to ensure the care, maintenance and development of green spaces, including all our parks, gardens, reserves, cemeteries, sporting precincts, aerodromes, some roadsides, and community facilities in our smaller towns and camping areas. To be successful in one of these positions, you will have:
- Minimum seven (7) years demonstrated supervisory experience, preferably within Local Government
- Knowledge and/or experience in horticulture or parks and gardens maintenance
- Well-developed communication skills both oral and written, including Microsoft Office Suite
- A White Card - Construction Induction
- A ‘C’ Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
- The ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioural testing
If you are successful, we will provide you:
- $104,551.60 - $113,683.77 per annum plus allowances
