A vacancy has become available at Isaac Regional Council for a fixed term full time People and Capability Administration Trainee based in Moranbah.
This position is based within the People and Capability Department which is responsible for the Human Resources and Learning and Development functions at Isaac Regional Council. This opportunity combines both hands on experience and the completion of a nationally recognised qualification. This fixed term full-time two (2) year position is an initiative of Isaac Regional Council which supports learning and development opportunities within the region.
For this position we can offer:
- Complete this course as a fixed-term appointment over a two (2) year Traineeship (full time hours)
- Paid employment for the duration of your course (trainee wages apply)
- Certificate IV in Human Resources Management qualification funded by IRC
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight (8:30am – 5:00pm – 9-day Fortnight)
- Based in Moranbah
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 13.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO (Rostered Day Off) in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

The focus of this position is to:
- Successfully complete a Certificate IV in Human Resources Management with an accredited training provider within the term of employment;
- Learn and develop administrative and human resources skills and use those skills to provide quality support to Council
- Provide excellent customer service support, including answering phones and providing face-to-face support as required, in line with the Customer Service Charter.
- Be a part of a multi-disciplinary team that services the employees and communities of Isaac Regional Council;
- Provide general clerical and administrative support within the People & Capability Department.
