The Role:
The Principal Native Title will provide strategic advice to management teams and internal stakeholders across the business on native title matters. This includes guiding teams through native title processes, policies and statutory obligations related to Native Title Parties.
As the Principal Native Title, your responsibilities include ensuring compliance and implementation of existing native title and heritage agreements in alignment with the business’s internal policies and procedures. This involves developing and maintaining management systems and schedules, as well as maintaining high-quality record keeping data management to ensure that records are up to date and accurate. By fulfilling these duties, you will contribute to the effective management of native title and heritage agreements within the business.
The Principal Native Title role requires a solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence positive outcomes. It is essential to lead, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and handle legal, political, community and reputation situations interfacing with colleagues across corporate and asset functions. Demonstrated experience in working with and engaging with Traditional Owners and their representatives is crucial for success in this role.
You will be based at our MinRes HQ Office located in Osborne Park, reporting directly to the Manager Native Title and Strategy. This role requires some travel.
