The Role As the Principal Officer – ICT Innovation Technology, you will play a significant part in leading the identification, evaluation, and preparation for deployment of emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Machine Learning and Augmented Reality.Council recognises the importance, and is investing in, exciting digital technology and you will be involved in valuable research and development of emerging technologies. To be successful in the role you will have diverse technical capabilities across a wide range of technologies and an appropriate level of documentation. A strong desire and ability to monitor, identify, quickly learn and apply new technologies is vital for this role.Supporting Council to manage emerging technologies, such as the growing demand for generative AI capabilities and tools while the technology is still rapidly evolving, is one of the exciting challenges of the role. Using your effective communication skills, you will collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, government, education, and industry bodies.
