The focus of this role is to work with the project team in providing high quality finance and accounting support. You will be responsible for managing the operating budget and forecasting process for projects, processing transactions and keeping a commercial finance focus on projects. The below will be a part of the day to day in this position: Supporting PM's on project forecasting – cost planning including labour – actuals, open PO's, cost to complete. Establishing, maintaining and closing projects in NetSuite, ensuring all costs are posted. Ensure all project costs are correctly allocated against relevant baselines, including labour recovery into projects and overall productivity. Supporting the cash flow forecasting for invoice collections, cost planning / outflows with PM's Assisting with the recording of variations – control over recording of approved customer variations, obtaining/recording costing, margins Support in revenue recognition, work in progress for projects and cost accruals. Management of reporting and analysis, specifically in portfolio level and project performance against baselines and forecasts. Attending and participating in Handover Meetings. Conduct monthly meetings with PMs and weekly meetings with GM to provide financial update. Supporting month end & year end process. Manage individual project claim templates, issue Invoices and maintain monthly invoice forecast report. Facilitate the delivery and return of bank guarantees and collection of receivables Transactional support What we are looking for: Higher Learning: You will have a degree in Accounting. If you have any CPA or Charted Accounting Memberships, this would be an advantage. Previous Experience: 2 – 5 years of exposure within the construction industry, with proven experience in a similar role.
