Location Perth, Western Australia, Australia Job Type Contract Date Added March 22, 2024 We’re looking for a Project Engineer (Structural) to join one of our biggest clients in Australia. This role is a minimum 9-month contract with possibility of extension working in the Pilbara region on a 2:1 roster.When you work for our client, you get the chance to join nearly 50,000 people all driven by a common purpose – delivering a more sustainable world. If you ask us, there’s never been a more rewarding time to work in the energy, chemical and resources sectors.What you’ll doMaintaining a HSE focus in the team to ensure OHSE requirements are included in design and procurement.Establish, maintain and build healthy client relationships and resolve project issues with the client as they arise.Ensure compliance with WPMP, with the requirements of the contract and apply effective change control process.Monitor cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns.Effective and clear communication with design team and third parties and accurate and effective reporting to the project manager.Set clear objectives to the design team and manage inter-discipline interfaces effectively.Assist where required with the procurement process throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and within budget.You will be reporting to the Project Director.What you’ll haveA recognised engineering degree in civil / structural engineering.Experience inbridge / marine installing pilings into underground water bodies, must understand nuances of implementing pilings on site.Experience in mining environment (iron ore) is preferred.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is preferred.Previous technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline and proven experience in leading a discipline design group.You will be an enthusiastic team player, with excellent stakeholder management skills.Current Australian Working rightsAbout the projectThe construction of the project commenced in early 2023, with firstproduction expected in 2025.
