Role Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee the execution of various projects in the realm of port-related civil, wharves, marine infrastructure engineering, and other projects of diverse disciplines. These projects will have budgets ranging in value from $1 million to $20 million. Additionally, the Project Manager will play a supportive role to be involved with major programs up to $100 million. A crucial aspect of this role is the requirement for a collaborative approach. This entails actively engaging with internal teams and essential stakeholders throughout the business. By doing so, the aim is to ensure the delivery of efficient, effective, and sustainable project management services.

About You:
You will have a proven track record in delivering multiple projects from concept to completion, not only through managing the technical aspects, but also the commercial/contract execution for design and construction contracts. Furthermore, your ability to support the team throughout the project lifecycle will be highly regarded.
Your key responsibilities will be:
End-to-end Project Management of projects, from inception to completion, within budget, meeting quality standards and in a sustainable manner. Working directly with the team to execute multiple projects simultaneously to support the overall Port of Melbourne Business Plan. Lead contract/commercial negotiations with design and construction teams, as part of the contract execution process. Scope, plan, schedule and manage projects to ensure all stages, including project evaluation, estimation, Board approvals, implementation, legal negotiations, contract administration, site supervision and cost control are effectively executed. Safety leadership through setting and managing safety expectations internally and externally ensuring no one is hurt. Ideally, you will have: Demonstrated expertise in delivering multi-disciplined port related civil & marine infrastructure projects. Extensive experience in engineering project management, while coordinating and managing resources for the successful delivery. Proven ability to negotiate contracts for both procurement and provision of engineering and construction services with a focus on risk management and value exchange. Exceptional interpersonal skill for effective communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and management. Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
