An opportunity has become available for Radiographer - Senior (BreastScreen) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Regularly participate in assessment clinics, including biopsy procedures, providing support, advice and a high standard of care to clients and other members of the teamEnsure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgroundsProvide clinical supervision and offer skill and competency development to less experienced staff.Perform regular technical Quality Assurance activities and provide training and supervision of these activities to other technical staff within the serviceAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
AHPRA RegistrationA tertiary degree as a Radiographer as recognised by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of AustraliaA Certificate of Mammographic Practice issued by the Australian Institute of Radiography or equivalent, or the ability to attain one within twelve monthsA current Radiation Use Licence issued by Radiation Health QueenslandDrivers LicenceEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Flexible work optionsSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work Culture12.75% super17.5% leave loadingTemporary full time (up to six months, with possibility of extension)Base salary ranging from $4 769.60 - $5 132.40 per fortnightAbout Us BreastScreen Queensland, Gold Coast Service is part of the National Breast Screening Program, providing breast cancer screening services to eligible women within the Gold Coast City Council and BreastScreen catchment area.
