Overview Offering exceptional professional development opportunities, this is your chance to step into a key role as an Inpatient Mental Health Nurse within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. You will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidenced based, recovery oriented services across the multidisciplinary Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network Mental Health Service appropriate to the needs of the consumer and the local community. Keen to make a difference to patient care and outcome, you will specifically deliver integrated clinical mental health care to consumers across community, acute and rehabilitation service settings. You will utilise and develop a combination of preventative, early intervention, therapeutic and evaluative approaches, including individual and family therapeutic approaches, group programs, health promotion and community development programs. You will consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. For appointment at the RN1 level, you will be enrolled or be willing to enrol in further postgraduate studies within Mental Health practice. You will bring demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, reflecting sound knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered Nurse within a mental health care setting. A confident communicator, you will possess effective interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. For appointment at the RN2C level, you will have a proven track record in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses/clinicians.
