Who are we looking for?We’re looking for a Bridge Inspection Safety Health & Wellbeing Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA on a 12 month fixed term contract based in Perth. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Review, liaise with relevant parties and prepare and /or make improvements to safety documentation as required Investigate and respond to EQ safe and ICAM incidentsOrganise and facilitate weekly Crew meetings and monthly Toolbox meetings – prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up issues raised at these meetingsReview and provide comments on safety documentation associated with ETS Panel Contract inspectionsConduct yard inspections, site audits, critical risk observations, safety observation conversations and safety moments.Maintain staff Training Matrix and manage training requirements for the teamUndertake Plant and Equipment risk assessments and maintain plant and equipment registersWhat you will bring to the team:3-8 years OSH experience in the construction area preferably with road and bridge construction experienceComprehensive understanding on the development and implementation of policies and practices that comply with the Occupational Safety and Health act and regulations and any other relevant statutory obligationsHigh levels of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiativeGood level of written, verbal and numeracy skillsSound computer and software skills (Email, word processing, spreadsheets, document control)Please note, we have an office shutdown period from Monday 25th December 2023 – Friday 5th January 2024, reopening Monday 8th January 2024.
