The purpose of the position is to provide quality advice and expertise to management, staff and other stakeholders on issues relating to the prevention and management of manual handling, ergonomics, occupational violence related injury and other emerging risks across all business areas of the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Advisor (Work Health and Safety Education) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Provide advice to the Director Workforce Health and Safety, senior management and other stakeholders throughout the health service on the identification of risks and opportunitiesGuide development of health service training packages, assessment and recommendations through use of high-level knowledge of relevant Work Health and Safety legislationAct as a key contact in relation to staff wellness management by providing extensive support for senior managers and cliniciansInterpret and apply WHS data to inform quality service delivery and to guide improvement and strategic planning activities related to all identified workforce safety key risks within the health serviceAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
Drivers LicenceWhile not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regardedEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Flexible work optionsSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work Culture12.75% super17.5% leave loadingPermanent full timeBase salary ranging from $117 824 - $126 212 per annumAbout Us Safety is of the highest priority at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).
