About this role Join our Melbourne office and be part of the Risk Consulting practice, where we thrive in delivering impactful consulting and assurance engagements. Under the guidance of our experienced managers, you will play a vital role in helping clients navigate complex risks and change management issues in a dynamic business environment. Key responsibilities Understanding clients' risk environments and utilising internal audit knowledge to manage and deliver engagement outcomesOn-site support of risk consulting engagements which will include presenting outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders to influence decision-makingContributing to commercial problem solving through analysis, critical thinking, and logical reasoningOptimising technology control activities, technology and operational strategy, and policies and procedures.Assisting with delivering internal audit reviews covering identity and access management, security management, IT governance, emerging technology risks, IT compliance, business intelligence and IT alignment to business strategyCompleting high quality internal audit reports and engagement deliverablesIdentifying potential areas requiring improvement in client business and IT processes and providing recommendationsProviding findings and assisting with recommendations in the context of the client's broader business environmentWhere appropriate for development coaching junior employeesContributing to delivery of projects to ensure objectives are met and engagements are delivered to a high quality Skills & experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as accounting or businessExperience in business risk, business process review, IT risk review or internal auditCISA certification would be highly regardedStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentSound understanding on control documentation and assessmentBusiness process review and improvement through facilitation and documentationDemonstrated skills in understanding risk across complex projectsAt Grant Thornton we do things differently because we understand that when you strive for better and care about what you do remarkable things are possible.
