During this exciting growth period, we have an opportunity for Senior Civil Engineers to join our Civil engineering team in Adelaide. The ideal candidate(s) will have experience delivering a wide range of civil infrastructure projects and will be familiar, in particular with civil engineering design for building civil works, defence and civil infrastructure projects. Working within the Civil Engineering discipline group, you will provide civil engineering services to the Defence, Water, Transport and Buildings markets, delivering projects including civil infrastructure, roads, rail, buildings civil, water infrastructure and land developments. As the Senior Civil Engineer, you will have a variety of responsibilities such as completing and leading engineering design, preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, streamlining the production of deliverables, and preparing technical reports and proposals.You will ensure that technical adherence and quality assurance standards are met by managing the design team and provide them with guidance and supervision on all civil engineering deliverables.In this role you will:Undertake civil engineering design, calculations and technical reports / specifications.Work within multidisciplinary teams to manage and deliver a wide range of engineering projects to specified and relevant standardsManage engineering design teams to deliver project design outcomes and scope to deliver work within agreed budgets and schedulesPlan engineering tasks and execute through concept, preliminary and detailed design phasesLiaise directly with the Project Manager, Design Manager and Client to provide regular project updates and prepare technically sound and well written proposals and reportsDevelop and maintain strong a relationship with the client, both internal and externalCollaborate, both within our local office and KBR nationally and work with interstate colleagues to deliver engineering projectsReview designs and documentation prepared by others and verify their compliance to relevant standards and design guidelines and project specific requirementsProvide direction, mentoring and support to the project team and Civil Discipline Group.Assist to prepare bids and tender proposalsAs the ideal applicant you will have:A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)CPEng preferredExperience working within an engineering consulting environmentExperience working in a broad range of infrastructure projects within a multi-disciplinary environmentPrevious experience in Civil Infrastructure for projects in one or more of the defence,building civil and transport sectors is essential in the roleExcellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with relevant standards and design guidelines to the civil engineering disciplineThe ability to obtain chartership within a reasonable agreed time frameA Practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance What do KBR offer?
