Senior Clinician - In Patient Unit & Custodial FYMHS Exciting new role supporting young people within both Custodial and Inpatient Unit settingsFull time, permanent role for a Senior Clinician Monthly ADO and Salary PackingBased across Footscray and Custodial FYMHS (Parkville and/or Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precincts)Provide leadership, training and capacity building for the Orygen Inpatient Unit staffing teamExcellent team culture, training, supervision and prof dev opportunitiesDynamic, multidisciplinary team providing collaborative recovery oriented mental health treatment and support to young people Your new team: Forming part of the Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), a program of The Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team provides specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings (Parkville and Cherry Creek sites) to young people and their families/carers. In this role, you will work alongside our Inpatient Unit (IPU) team, located in Footscray on the Western Hospital site. The IPU provides targeted specialised service delivery for youth with acute and complex mental health and psychosocial needs. Your new role: Work collaboratively across the IPU and Custodial FYMHS and provide a continuity of care for young people between the inpatient setting and custody. Complete assessments, develop treatment and care plans, provide appropriate discharge planning and age-appropriate referrals once the young people are ready to transition back into the communityProvide high level consultation, leadership and advice on complex clinical matters. Help to develop the capabilities of the IPU team working with young people experiencing mental illness in the Youth Justice system by providing training and support, including high level consultation, leadership, supervision and professional development.
