About the roleWe are seeking an Senior Consultant to join our fast growing andsupportive external audit team, that offers a diverse client base,and incredible opportunities for growth and promotion. Youwill take ownership of the entire audit process from planning,testing, preparing financial statements to preparing the managementletter at the completion of the audit. You will also beresponsible for delegating work to junior staff members, ensuringyou review all work and mentor them though the process. Presenting internal and external training and conducting internaland external presentations are other key components of thisposition.Key Responsibilities:Complete the audit file for the full range of thefirm’s clients; from planning to finalisation of theaudit fileComplete an audit assignment within budget and inaccordance with any relevant deadlinesExplain the data flows through an accounting system and therelated internal controls, enabling junior staff members todocument and test those systems and controlsReviewing the work of junior staff, and recognise internalcontrol weaknesses and document them in a suitable managementletterClear all Manager and Partner review points in relation toeach audit assignment takenReview a financial report from the client’s trialbalance and complete the disclosure checklistPrepare non-standard management letters, correspondencesand reports to clientComplete special assignments under the direction of theAudit ManagerWork co-operatively with other team members, mentor juniorteam membersUnderstand the nature of a client’s businessoperations, needs and expectations, and identify any auditrelated issuesProvide constructive advice to clients, and promptly andaccurately follow up any queriesKey Skills and Experience:Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Auditenvironment in a Chartered / CPA accounting practiceDegree qualified and be near to qualifying or fullyqualified as a CA/CPATechnically proficient and keen to develop knowledge withthe latest accounting and auditing developmentsPrevious experience mentoring and coaching junior staffmembers, and review their workPrior experience working with and developing goodrelationships with clientsGood time management skills and ability to prioritise workand meet deadlines for multiple clientsPresent professionally and possess excellent interpersonaland communication skillsExperience with an Audit package such as Caseware, andMicrosoft Office applicationsBest Kept Secrets ofSW: Progressive firm, with excellent career opportunitiesFlexible working environment2 additional AL days per year18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 3 weeksfor non-primaryRefer to client and refer a friend bonus schemeEmployee Assistance Program and Wellness perks$1000 towards home office setupSocial ClubTailored Learning and Development ProgramPaid Course/study leave1 paid professional membership per yearLunch provided 2 days per weekApply todayCreate your own individual story and become a part of ours.
