Reporting to the Head of Faculty Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will be responsible for navigating complex financial challenges and driving performance excellence across the university.The role would be considered as a succession plan for Central and Financial Leadership Team opportunities within a 2–5 year range.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide sound financial advice and strategic guidance to faculties and divisions, ensuring alignment with UTS's overall strategic objectives.Lead and manage a team of finance professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality services to stakeholders.Analyse financial data from multiple sources and develop actionable insights to support informed decision-making.Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the university, building trust and credibility.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing changes to policies and procedures as needed.Key ChallengesBalancing the diverse needs and priorities of multiple clients within each Hub.Standardizing processes across different parts of the university with varying levels of experience and local variations.Managing relationships with local clients while ensuring high service levels and alignment with central finance objectives.Qualifications and ExperienceFull membership of an internationally recognized professional accounting body (ACA or CPA qualified).Extensive experience in financial management and/or financial analysis, preferably within the higher education sector.Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading and developing teams to deliver high-quality services.Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets.Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle and TM1 is desirable.Demonstrated knowledge of the university sector and current trends and issues facing universities.Why Join UTS?to work in a prestigious and innovative university environment.salary, 17% super available in addition to otheremployee benefits (flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities).development and training opportunities.campus community and supportive work culture.If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in financial management and decision-making, a full-time permanent opportunity, apply now to join the UTS team!Selection criteria for a senior finance partner role typically encompass a blend of technical skills, leadership qualities, and strategic abilities.
