Job Description Join us as a Senior Hydraulic and Wet Fire Engineer, a key role in our Engineering Services team. Working with our Principal Hydraulics and Wet Fire Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation and operation and maintenance of the University hydraulics and wet fire infrastructure, collaborating with Engineering, Facilities Management, Asset Management, Capital Works and Major Projects teams, the wider University community, contractors and consultants delivering maintenance and projects across all University locations from South Bank to the Gold Coast. Responsibilities will include providing design briefs, advising on projects, witnessing testing, defects inspections, managing contracts, overseeing maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with design guidelines, and maintaining safety standards. Experience in hydraulic services and a commitment to sustainability are essential. About you The occupant in this role will: hold a diploma or degree in hydraulic services/engineering recognised in Australia with demonstrated ability to technically brief, design, review, deliver and manage projects for installation of hydraulic services based on a whole of life approach. hold either a QBCC Hydraulic Services Design License or RPEQ (hydraulics). have previous experience with a wide range of facilities such as laboratories, high specification facilities, commercial, retail, restaurant and accommodation buildings will be an advantage. be familiar with Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast Council regulations as well as Queensland and Australian legislative requirements. What we can offer This is a fixed term (3 years), full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you will be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $108,764 - $122,356 per annum + 17% superannuation.
