The Role As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the G'day Group's infrastructure systems.You will be responsible for managing the infrastructure lifecycle, ensuring stability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure environment in the Parks we provide services to.As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure engineers and system analysts to support and enhance the overall infrastructure architecture.
Your role responsibilities will include:
·Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions based on business requirements
·Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and network technologies to enhance the infrastructure environment
·Ensure compliance with standards and best practices in infrastructure design and implementation
·Develop comprehensive documentation and configuration of each site, capturing evidence based metrics, such as Wi-Fi Surveys
·Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives
·Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring successful project execution
·Track project progress, report on milestones, and escalate any issues or risks as necessary
·Provide technical support and guidance to infrastructure engineers and other teams
·Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
·Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and resolutions for future reference
·Continuously evaluate the infrastructure environment and propose enhancements to improve performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
·Implement automation and scripting solutions to streamline infrastructure processes and tasks
·Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the infrastructure domain
Your Experience A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field, combined with proven experience as an infrastructure engineer, with a focus on designing and managing complex infrastructure systems.
You will have a strong knowledge of network protocols, server administration, virtualisation and cloud computing.You will be proficient in infrastructure automation tools and scripting language.You will have experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
You will have excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at G'day Group. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
