About the Role
The Senior Integrated Communications Advisor plays a leading role in providing strategic communications advice to business units across the organisation and develops and implements communication and engagement plans to promote the wide variety of Council services, programs, projects and initiatives in line with organisational objectives, brand and stakeholder expectations.
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualified in communications or another relevant field. A great storyteller, able to identify key outcomes and messages from reports and meetings and develop a strong narrative to inform and advise community, staff and Councillors. An innovator with a track record of developing and delivering effective communications that encourage engagement with the community. A strategic thinker with an understanding of the diverse needs of the community, the local government environment and ability to plan for delivery of high-quality outcomes. A problem solver, able to resolve issues to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Flexible in responding to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes. A collaborator with demonstrated success in partnering with key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Click here to view Position Description
