About the Role & Team: We are currently looking for a Senior Manager - Brand Strategy and Campaigns to join our exciting and creative Experience Melbourne branch. Experience Melbourne is the epicentre of all things exciting including events, destination marketing and tourism at the City of Melbourne. In this role, you will spearhead the Experience Melbourne campaign marketing, strategic brand management, and City of Melbourne corporate banner program. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing a comprehensive year-round marketing strategy for Melbourne, aligning with the Council Plan's goal of fostering economic prosperity for city businesses. Collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you'll lead a team dedicated to delivering impactful marketing and brand campaigns, utilising CoM owned assets and employing audience-first content marketing strategies alongside traditional and digital marketing practices. Your role will also involve conducting market research and evaluating campaigns to inform ongoing strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and effectiveness. What you will bring to City of Melbourne A relevant tertiary qualification to degree level in Marketing or related discipline. Proven experience in leading, developing and motivating a team. Demonstrated experience in managing multifaceted marketing campaigns led with a content approach, preferably in the entertainment, arts or tourism sectors Demonstrated experience in a similar role, specifically in developing and implementing marketing campaigns across a broad range of channels, including digitally-led. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience in developing briefs and preparation of a high standard of written reports and submissions to senior decision makers. Demonstrated skills in personal communication, including the ability to instil confidence and enlist support; negotiate professionally; present campaign strategies and other information; influence stakeholder opinions and directions. Well developed and successfully deployed project planning and project management skills, particularly in co-ordinating resources and services from a variety of places to achieve campaign outputs and timelines, and overall performance standards and targets.
