Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer at Chevron We are currently recruiting a Senior Mechanical/Piping engineer at Chevron to support the Lead Mechanical/Piping Engineer for the CO2 Long Term Optimisation project (LTOP) on a 2-year contract to be based in Perth CBD.
Responsibilities: Assign and monitor the progress of discipline resources Develop technical solutions and work with an integrated team with the Engineering contractor Develop and approve a wide variety of discipline deliverables such as plot plans, equipment layout, Isometrics, PDMS/E3D models, Bill of material, valve data sheets, piping specifications, material specification, special part specifications/data sheets etc Develop, check, and approve design calculations such as pipe wall thickness, underground design calculations Pipe stress analysis using Caesar II, pipe support design and calculations, trunnion design, wear pad thickness calculations, spring design Functional review of the management of change (MOC) FIV/AVI calculations following the Energy Institute guidelines and mitigations to reduce the susceptibility of fatigue failure Provide technical expertise on discipline design principles, guidelines Manage interface with other functions Provide input to 'Request for Proposal' and 'Request for Quotation' and review of technical bid packages Apply appropriate Chevron project management system, facility design and construction (FD&C), MOC and capital stewardship principles Manage and control change by developing relationships and providing effective communications with diverse, cross-functional stakeholders Support construction and fabrication scope with engineering input and resolving technical queries Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron's best practices Top 3 Must-have skills: Minimum 15+ years experience in static mechanical and piping engineering in the Oil and gas or Chemicals, Refineries, and Petrochemical industry with strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, API, ASTM and Australian standards Working in a late design phase supporting detailed design, fabrication and construction, Inspection NDE, Hydro-testing activities for pipe racks modules, stick build piping, vendor packages, pipe stress analysis using Caesar II Having a collaborative working style complementing a positive mindset, that is resilient to changes in priorities and work scope, to promote effective and ongoing teamwork Nice to have skills: Exposure to PDMS/E3D Familiarity with Chevron project development and execution processes, FD&C, MOC and operational excellence requirements preferred - Project is part of Chevron's lower carbon strategy part of Gorgon Carbon Capture and Storage project If interested, please email your CV to .
