The role is located within the Access and Inclusion Branch within the Early Childhood Outcomes Commissioning Directorate.
Within Early Childhood Outcomes, the Commissioning Directorate leads the design and delivery of early childhood education and care programs, projects and funding to ensure all children receive the best start in life and can reach their potential.

About the role
As one of our Senior Policy Officers in the Participation and Access Team, you will be involved in supporting our early childhood education outcomes by managing the development and implementation of a range of policy and complex projects which contribute to the delivery of policy initiatives and reforms. This position will primarily focus on policies and projects around ensuring that all children in NSW are able to access and participate in early childhood programs on the same basis as their peers.

About you
Experience working with policy and programs with a strong focus on access and participation outcomes for children within the Early childhood years Experience working in a Team Leaders role within a programs commissioning framework Understanding and experience within the Early Childhood Education, Access & Participation or Government sector Experience analysing and interpreting policies in a timely manner with the ability to provide policy advice Excellent written communication to prepare correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs Good attention to detail Passionate and driven team player Essential requirements of the role
Commitment to principles of diversity and inclusion with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within the Early Education and Care, Community Programs or Government sectors A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
