Some of your responsibilities will include:• Develop and manage the delivery of the district's spatial program, ensure maintenance of the spatial information memory, and provide expert professional, technical and administrative advice.• Perform program and project management functions for your works program.• Manage the acquisition, processing, maintenance, validation and delivery of geospatial products and services.• Manage and develop the content of spatial data and map products to be accessed by internal and external clients.• Develop, implement, and maintain GIS&T knowledge management processes and systems for the district.• Source, process and manage raw digital geographical data into GIS&T and CADD formats for clients.• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of leading-edge geospatial information technology.• Provide specialist advice on GIS&T solutions to professional and technical officers from other engineering technologies both internal and external and as a leader for the Darling Downs District.• Provide ad hoc training in Geographic Information Systems to staff as required.• Represent the Region in State-wide occupational and technical working groups.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/558133/24Closing Date: Monday, 29 April 2024
