What You Will Be Working On As a Senior Strategic/Statutory Planner You will conduct in-depth research to drive proactive planning initiatives for the development and redevelopment of our city. Evaluate, report, and present recommendations to management/Council on complex subdivision applications, development proposals, structure, plans and rezoning initiatives. You will ensure planning applications and related matters are processed promptly and provide clear articulation on the City's Local Planning Scheme, polices and local laws. As a Senior Strategic Planning Officer You will contribute to the orderly development or redevelopment of the City, fostering community growth and creating opportunities for economic expansion in business and tourism. About You We are ideally looking for applicants with: Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia. A forward-thinking mindset to envision the City's future development and design plans that align with long-term objectives. Previous experience in strategic and statutory planning, urban development, gained in Government or private practice. Demonstrated knowledge of the Planning and Development Act 2005, Metropolitan Region Scheme, Local Planning Schemes and other legislation affiliated with Urban and Regional Planning.
