This position is responsible for the development, deployment, administration, and life-cycle management of the organisation's Enterprise Windows Managed Operating Environment (MOE) and Modern Workplace technology environment. You will engage in engineering and operational activities necessary to construct modern end user computing and Workplace technology solutions while maintaining existing systems.
The purpose of the Senior Windows System Engineer is to provide technical advice, leadership and support required for the implementation of the TMR's Modern Workspace.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide leadership and expert technical knowledge in the design, implementation and support of the modern enterprise Windows platform and Modern Device Management technologies including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune (including Co-Management), Windows 11, Windows365, Microsoft365 and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly known as Azure AD).
• Coordinate all activities regarding modern desktop management, monitoring and support of the departmental IT fleet including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, working to continuously improve the end user computing experience.
• Provide high-level project support to long-term, high-impact projects, adhering to the IT Branch project management framework and for small to medium-term projects within the SOE Management Services (SMS) operational team.
• Provide advice and skills transfer activities that contribute to building a highly performing and efficient group of personnel in the SMS team.
• Lead the review, testing and quality assurance of systems and programs designed for the enterprise Windows MOE and development of standards, guidelines and processes that support the Evergreen IT and the ICT industry best practices.
• Coordinate ICT technical support, providing advice, recommendations, and solutions to the Principal Team Leader regarding the identification and treatment of technical and related business problems.
