KU South Turramurra Preschool has been a prominent part of the fabric forming the local community for over 60 years. We are so proud of our reputation for excellence in the education and care of children aged 3-5 years old. With amazing outdoor resources and a tranquil leafy setting, our 35 place preschool is looking for a passionate and inspiring leader to join the team.
The Role
You will bring your sound pedagogical knowledge, experience of developing and maintaining relationships with children and families, rostering, mentoring, daily routines, policy implementation whilst building a harmonious working environment.
This role will be teaching on the floor 4 days a week and have 1 day a week dedicated to administration duties. You will have support of a dedicated and experienced service administrator as well as the Education and Quality team, education support manager, child protection team, learning and development facilitator and wider support services available across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be available to work 7.6 hours, Monday-Friday during term time, you will receive a generous director’s allowance in addition to sector leading payrates. KU South Turramurra regularly engages with the community, but further opportunities exist for this to occur in the wider community, so an experience and interest in engaging with communities is desirable.

Of course, you will need:
- Australian working rights
- At least 2 years of previous directing experience
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
- Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- NESA Teacher Accreditation
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
