Teachers and school administrators employed at Djugerari Remote Community School in 2024 are eligible to receive an of $5,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
About the role
The successful applicant should ideally possess warm and caring characteristics, with a passion and dedication for teaching our early learners, in addition to having a great rapport with our middle and upper primary students.
The successful applicant will ideally need to be an enthusiastic, driven team player, who participates in whole school planning and curriculum development, contributing to our culture of sharing and collegiate support.
The successful applicant should have solid Literacy and Numeracy curriculum knowledge and skills with a strong knowledge of Western Australia Curriculum. Building a sense of being, belonging and becoming are essential to our context. A commitment to improving student achievement through the effective use of whole-school approaches, targeted teaching of literacy and numeracy skills, early intervention and the integrated use of Information and Computer Technologies (ICT).
A sound understanding of the cultural context of Djugerari Community on Ngurrara Country and the importance of a positive relationship between the school and community is also highly desirable.

The location and community
Djugerari RCS is located 110km south-east of Fitzroy Crossing. Nestled in amongst the stunning red hills of the St George Ranges, our school is an integral part of the community.
There are only 16 houses in Djugerari Community, and everyone is required to travel to Fitzroy Crossing to access a range of facilities and services. We have a friendly collaborative community, and the children are characterised by their friendly welcome for visitors to the school.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
