Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach and/or experience with a willingness to teach special education students with additional learning needs with the ability to cater for the communication, social, sensory, moderate intellectual disability, autism, behavioural difficulties and emotional disturbance of a diverse range of students. Evidence of exemplary quality teaching to integrate a high quality differentiated curriculum in literacy and numeracy into effective and successful classroom practice for all students. Demonstrated capacity to plan, deliver and evaluate differentiated Individualised Education Plans that are engaging and culturally inclusive with a focus on student engagement and wellbeing. Demonstrated outstanding classroom management skills and proven capacity to implement positive behaviour strategies to enhance student engagement and participation. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills which promote collaboration with staff and positive partnerships with parents/carers, community, support agencies, staff and students.
