About the Position City of Canada Bay Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to oversee our Water and Play Areas team. This role plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our community's water play spaces and recreational facilities. Key Accountabilities: Lead and supervise a team of staff responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of water play areas and playgrounds. Conduct routine inspections and ensure safety standards are met. Oversee the installation and maintenance of water play equipment. Coordinate and allocate tasks to team members. Report safety hazards and equipment issues. Collaborate with management to plan and execute maintenance schedules. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of recreational spaces. Managing a team in outdoor conditions, including exposure to water and various weather conditions. Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of play areas, especially during peak usage times. Decision Making: Prioritising tasks and allocating resources. Reporting safety hazards and equipment issues. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role. Physically fit and able to perform manual labour. A strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work well in a team and provide leadership. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
