The Role We are seeking a full-time Telecommunications Field Engineer who is willing to join our team in Sydney, Australia to assist us with complex telecommunications systems and issues. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Planning, monitoring and reviewing performance of telecommunications networks and related equipment Working on designs in accordance with local operator standards to accurately and seamlessly upgrade/build existing and new sites Commissioning telecommunications network equipment in the setup of new, or upgrade of existing, telecommunications base stations inclusive of RF and DC systems Maintaining understanding and familiarity with vendors' equipment such as, Nokia, Ericsson and NEC Ensuring project delivery and performance in accordance with agreed terms and liaising with relevant parties as required Analysing, problem solving and resolving identified issues, outages or build problems, and providing technical advice as required Analysing faults of telecommunication systems and taking action accordingly, implementing appropriate measures Ensuring that consistent work practices are implemented in the field, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, internal policies and client technical procedures Arranging and incorporating relevant technology and systems Qualifications & work experience You must have:
At least an Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field PLUS 2 years of relevant work experience; OR At least 5 years relevant work experience in the relevant field. Other requirements As a Telecommunications Field Engineer you may need to travel to sites, work at heights and would need to hold (or be eligible to obtain) a valid and current full driver's license.
