InterContinental Perth City Centre opened in October 2017 and is a 240-room design orientated hotel in the heart of Perth's CBD.

We are looking for a full time Welcome Ambassador to join our charming, confident and internationally minded team who knows how to exceed guest expectations.

**YOUR DAY TO DAY**
As a Welcome Ambassador, you will need to consistently demonstrate the highest standards of guest focus and care, primarily placed/situated outside the hotel's entrance.
We're looking for someone to bring their passion, energy and friendly warm smile to our hotel. This position has the overall responsibility of ensuring all guests have a positive arrival and departure experience.
The Welcome Ambassador will:
+ Greet and assist guests at the hotel entrance of the hotel
+ Provide accurate information concerning hotel facilities, venues, transportation and key points of interest
+ Alert management of any suspicious activities or characters
+ Summons taxis, shuttle drivers and control traffic flow at hotel entrance
+ Ensure the hotel entrance is free of litter and debris, and
+ Assist the Concierge & Bell Attendants as required.
+ Bring the InterContinental Welcome and Farewell to life from a guests first interaction to final thank you and goodbye.
**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**
**Are you refined, personable & proactive?**
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate these behaviors every day, and must have all 7 of the criteria:
1. Excellent personal presentation, positive energy (each and every day!), with proven ability to hold an engaging conversation with anyone
2.
Excellent attention to detail & commitment to high standards - we are a Luxury Hotel experience
3. Ongoing availability to work rostered shifts across 7 days a week including weekends and public holidays.
Shifts may be scheduled between 11am and 9pm.
4.
WA drivers license
5. Ability to lift, push and pull large objects up to 23kgs
6.
**Unrestricted and unlimited working rights for Australia, and**
7. Knowledge of Perth CBD and the surrounding areas.
This job requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, most often outside, and sometimes moving/lifting guest luggage in and out of vehicles.
