The roleoversees the implementation of processes that advance and sustain relationships in the interests of the University and its partners.The Macquarie Partnerships team (MQP) sits within the Research, Innovation and Enterprise portfolio at Macquarie and works with and across the University to drive and enable industry engagement and partnership projects and opportunities. MQP is the centralised and professional front door for industry to connect, engage and partner with the University. The team identifies, fosters and facilitates research partnerships, education and employability partnerships and broader corporate partnerships with industry and government and brings a strategic 'whole of university' approach to MQ's engagement with industry.The Director, Partnerships leads the Macquarie Partnerships team and provides strategic direction, advice and training on all aspects of university partnership activities; to cultivate high value, long term strategic partnerships; to facilitate the achievement of university revenue attraction targets; to develop, drive and implement research investment attraction strategies and initiatives aligned to the University's strategic research priorities; and to develop and implement efficient frameworks, policies, procedures and processes to achieve the above objectives.The MPID Partnerships and Engagement Manager leads the Corporate Engagement and Partnerships arm of the Macquarie Partnerships team and is responsible foroverseeing strategic partnership initiatives, providing frontline engagement services and coordinating the University's engagement and external positioning within the Macquarie Park Innovation Park District (MPID).To ApplyTo be considered for this position, please apply online and attach your resume and a separate cover letter that outlines how you meet to the selection criteria below. Selection Criteria Degree and/or relevant experience in business development, management, consulting, or related discipline.Practical experience inclient and customer relationship management – including outstanding customer service and key account management.A proactive approach to business development and building new relationships with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels (including up to executive level).Demonstrated experience in project management – including overseeing and managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders anddelivering on objectives and within timeframes.Experience in fostering multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted partnerships that bring together expertiseand offerings across different disciplines and functions (academic, research and corporate).Experience in developing and deepening partnerships between industry and higher education institutions. Demonstrated understanding of the workings of the education and employability and research and innovation sectors.Experience working within an education, research or consulting environment of relevance to one or more of the Macquarie academic faculties (being Faculty of Arts, Macquarie Business School, Faculty of Science and Engineering and Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences) – particularly in the educationand employabilityarenas in higher education.Experience with systems (e.g. Microsoft Suite and design programs), data management practices (e.g. using Salesforce), report/ proposal/ tender writing skills, and experience creating marketing and communications collateral.
