About this team Reporting directly to the Country Merchandise Manager contributes to the financial plans and the local execution of the product assortment in store. The In Region Merchandise Manager is responsible for supporting the CMM. They work in close partnership with the APAC Buying and Planning teams. They will have effective cross functional partnerships with the APAC Buying and Planning teams, Visual Merchandising, Digital, Brand, Community and Retail Operations to support right product, right store, right time. The CMM is responsible for the development of other members of the regional merchandise team and creating strong relationships across APAC and locally. A day in the life: Contribute to the financial success of the region by meeting and exceeding sales, gross margin, inventory productivity goals through all channels (stores and ecommerce) through the effective partnership with APAC Buying and Planning teams Is a market expert in their region for all channels and can effectively communicate key data points, including merchandise strategies, athletic and fashion trends, pricing and competition, that inform the APAC product strategy Execute design's vision in a locally relevant way as intended by the APAC Merchandise team Proactively gather, analyse and drive insight from local market knowledge and competitive landscape across all channels You collaborate on the product feedback for your region You collaborate and define local pricing strategies You attend Buy Reviews, Architecture meetings, Seasonal Market reviews, Weekly Business Review meetings with Buying and Planning teams to support and inform the future buys and financial plans. You train, support and develop regional merchandise teams. Qualifications: 1-3 years' experience in retail in a merchant, buying or planning role Mastery of retail mathematics and Open to Buy Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret multiple data points across multiple channels and market segments Strong relationship builder and cross functional partner Proven ability to work with and lead a cross functional team Excellent sense of style and colour trends, athletically minded Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal Entrepreneurship – an ability to make decisions and take calculated risks Focus in creating an extraordinary guest experience, organizational and time management skills Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Self-awareness with a desire for constant self- improvement Willingness to travel Must haves: Acknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility for their life.
