Job Description - Project Electrical Engineer : New Energy (256977) Project Electrical Engineer : New Energy - 256977 UGL’s New Energy national business unit is experiencing rapid growth and we need motivated and capable people to join our team. UGL’s in-house engineering and design capability, together with our strong project delivery and operations and maintenance expertise puts us in a strong position in the market. Our target project opportunities include Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Wind Projects, as well as Hydrogen and Ammonia projects. The UGL New Energy Team is seeking experienced Project Electrical Engineers to work on our existing Projects and the exciting pipeline of renewable energy projects in Western Australia (WA). This position is Site based FIFO/DIDO in Western Australia About the Role You are responsible for providing conceptual and detailed engineering of the project's HV substations, solar, battery, and electrical BOP. The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet contractual arrangements made with the client. Your duties and responsibilities will include: Assist in the preparation of forecasts and constructability of projects. Supervise commissioning activities with the site commissioning teams. Develop ITP and work packs for Electrical installation work packages. Check Electrical works, Test Sheets, and signoff ITPs at completion of works. Assist the Project Manager with compliance to the documentation required under the UGL Management System Your skills and experience: Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in an Electrical discipline. Leadership ability and demonstrative experience in project management. Substantial experience in HV electrical systems or worked on renewable projects. Proven experience with the supervision of technical staff.
