Position Profile:  We are seeking to establish a pool of suitably experienced people for the role of Bed Management System Operator. In this role you will be responsible for data entry and clerical duties associated with the registration, observation and navigation of Royal Perth hospital (RPH) Emergency Department triaged patients. Successful applicants will use live capacity and demand dashboards and system applications to enable notification, bed allocation, transcription and admission or discharge of patients from the Emergency Department. The Bed Management System Operator will adhere to Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG) patient flow guidelines and will work in accordance with the Western Australian Emergency Access Target (WEAT) to achieve timely, safe and optimal patient care. This position provides a centralised interface, co located in the RPBG Operations Hub, collaborating with frontline staff both Clinical and Non-Clinical and prompt the use of discharge services such as the RPH Transit Lounge and Medi Hotel to enable effective production of hospital capacity.

Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth’s inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group. Home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services. It is also a premier teaching hospital and contributes to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care. 

Eligibility to Apply:  Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
