Are you a Business Compliance Manager with knowledge of retail wealth products (e.g. superannuation, insurance and IDPS), and the regulatory and compliance environment? Join our Banking and Financial Services Group and start the next chapter in your career.

As part of the broader Wealth Product Team, you will work with senior risk and compliance professionals, lawyers and the business to actively identify and manage compliance risks for Macquarie’s Wealth Division, within the dynamically evolving Banking and Financial Services Group.

You will work within a high performance, solution-orientated team providing high quality and pragmatic compliance, regulatory and legal services to support positive client-centric outcomes and act as the primary coordinator of incident management in the Wealth Product and Technology (P&T) team, working closely with other risk functions.

In order to be successful in this role, you will hold university qualifications in either Law, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar discipline and be able to demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen. Your past experience (2-5 years) in either a legal, risk or compliance role will ensure that you have the right experience to excel in this position, along with your excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Your key responsibilities  will include:

  • end to end management and oversight of incident management across Wealth P&T, working with a variety of product, technology, risk, compliance and legal stakeholders
  • first point of contact and provision of advice to Wealth P&T stakeholders on risk and compliance matters
  • end to end management of business compliance plans and associated sign-offs
  • co-ordination and management of audits and reviews across Wealth P&T
  • analysis of existing and emerging operational issues, including targeted projects or reviews
  • compiling and presenting reports to senior stakeholders that outline emerging, current and historical risks, as well as key focus areas
  • reviewing new business initiatives ensuring key operational risks are identified and managed and that appropriate stakeholders are engaged in the approval process
  • ensuring that risk and control self-assessments reflect the risk profile of the businesses, are current and comprehensive
  • controls testing.
  • You will bring prior experience within Financial Compliance, Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit gained within an international financial institution or professional services firm with a sound working knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Macquarie operates. A Tertiary degree in Finance or related area as well as relevant postgraduate degrees or professional qualifications (CA, CPA) are highly desirable.

    You will also:
