You will work to develop agendas, inputs, outputs and reporting for leadership meetings, involving close collaborating with various senior stakeholders across all finance divisions.

This is an exciting time to join our Financial Management Group as we undertake a project to lift our division from the strong financial management function it is today, to become leaders in our field. We’re growing our team to support this transformation, which encapsulates everything we’re doing to elevate our people, data, technology and processes to better support our business.

You’re proactive, efficient and have an eye for detail. Your skills as a communicator, along with your ability to prioritise workloads is what enables you to effectively manage and deliver results for a wide and diverse group of stakeholders.

You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of tasks across business management, finance, supplier governance and business resiliency, and will flourish in a fast-paced working environment.

What you will bring to our Financial Management Group and the role:

  • very driven with outstanding attention to detail, learning mindset, flexible and adaptable, highly motivated
  • highly numerate and analytical
  • strong communication and influencing skills
  • ability to foster and build a collaborative working relationship with various stakeholders.
  • Based in our Pitt Street offices, you’ll be working in a dynamic workplace environment designed to encourage innovation and collaboration.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

  • working with the broader Finance Teams and their leaders to deliver initiatives supporting the Financial Management Group Strategy
  • performing an active role in co-ordinating and de-risking our change initiatives, across both our on-shore and off-shore locations
  • proactively seeking opportunities to improve, transform and innovate across Team and the broader Financial Management Group.
  •
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong planning and prioritisation skills – an ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, keeping visibility on urgency/importance and re-adjusting prioritisation as needed. There is a need for you to drive initiatives autonomously, keeping the Divisional Director and the boarder transformation team up to date as needed.

Ideally, you will have proven hands-on change delivery experience in medium to large Finance functions, with the understanding of best practice in change management methodologies and tools (Prince2 or PMI qualifications are an advantage). You will also have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues at all levels. This is a team-based role, so you will need to possess the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and across large complex environments, whilst prioritising your work under pressure and managing expectations.
