Senior Advisor, Risk and Assurance

Our services include specialist nursing, palliative care, home care and support services, home hospital and allied health services, such as physiotherapy, podiatry and speech pathology. We also have a range of equipment including personal alarms and other technology-based support to assist clients of all ages.

The Opportunity

The role of the Risk and Assurance team is to ensure that effective risk and assurance mechanisms are in place to aid the Group achieve its strategic vision of delivering the world’s best health and aged care in the community, so Australians can confidently live their lives as they choose.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk and Assurance professional to join the Risk and Assurance team at Silver Chain House, Osborne Park, at a time when the Group, and the industry, is experiencing significant growth and investment.

Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Risk and Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the team’s major outcomes in the areas of:

  • Risk Management;
  • Internal Audit, including data analytics;
  • Business Continuity;
  • Fraud Control and Prevention;
  • Audit and Risk Management Committee Support; and
  • Ad Hoc Advice.
  • The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field;
  • Related professional qualifications and membership (CA/CPA/CIA);
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance and assurance;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and advanced verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and provide insight, analyse, interpret, assurance and risk activities;
  • Strong problem solving and business improvement focus;
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders from different professional backgrounds at different levels of the organisation; and
  • Experience in governance and risk systems.
