**Summary of Job Description:**

+ Gain, maintain and grow funded patient access for specified AbbVie products

+ Lead development of market access strategies for specified pipeline products.

+ Lead health economic and outcomes research projects relevant to portfolio

+ Represent AbbVie MA externally with Department of Health, Medicines Australia and other external experts/groups.

+ Line manage two staff

**Major Responsibilities:**

1. Market Access, Pricing and HEOR:

Lead development and implementation of Integrated Access Strategies with cross functional collaborators. Represent MA on Brand and other cross functional teams.

Develop and ensure implementation of market access strategies to optimise the commercial potential and level of patient access of the portfolio. Lead the development and implementation of PBAC submissions, including managing external consultants where appropriate.

Lead/contribute to pricing strategies. Gain global pricing approvals. Lead/contribute to negotiations with DoH for price and risk shares.

Lead development and implementation of HEOR activities relevant to access for existing portfolio.

Manage Deeds, rebates and Price Disclosure relevant to portfolio.

Lead/contribute to ABBV financial processes including Plan, Long Range Plan and functional plan.

Maintain high level of external competitor intelligence and environmental scanning relevant to portfolio through regular review of PBAC, MA, scientific and media publications.

1. Pipeline Strategy:

Act as affiliate expert on assigned AbbVie pipeline therapy areas and products, providing Market Access and HEOR input to AU Pipeline Strategy function.

Lead opportunity assessment of priority Phase 2 assets, lead development of Integrated Access Strategies, HEOR activities, input to prelaunch plan, brand plan and long range planning.

1. External Environment:

Lead/collaborate on AbbVie and Medicines Australia cross portfolio initiatives and policy positions.

Develop and disseminate access policy positions relevant to portfolio.

Line management of a team of 2 people

1. MAEA Function:

Contribute to the functional team through engagement, personal leadership and co-mentoring and coaching.

**Qualifications**

**Education/Experience Required:**

+ Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical, Science, Public Health, Health Economics, or Business Administration.

+ Strong experience of PBAC submissions, negotiations and associated processes (or similar access environment)

+ HTA/Health economics and outcomes research/Statistics
