The Senior Pharmacist will deliver high level pharmacy services and medication management services within the Cooktown Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS) and Weipa Integrated Hospital and Health Service incorporating Eastern Cape York, as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders and customers of Queensland Health in accordance with the National and State policies and initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Clinical Expertise Demonstrated high level theoretical knowledge, expertise and skills in Pharmacy practice and a practical understanding of contemporary service requirements for maintaining an effective hospital Pharmacy service.
Communication Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise and communicate with patients, other health professionals and stakeholders, and provide high level advice in matters relating to clinical Pharmacy practice.
Clinical Ability Demonstrated ability to provide Pharmacy clinical services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
Leadership Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities and provide clinical supervision to other team members.

Total Remuneration value up to $134 445 comprising salary between $4,197.30 – $4,516.60 per fortnight

Requirements for the role:
The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree qualification in Pharmacy and full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.
Whilst not mandatory the Further postgraduate qualifications in clinical pharmacy or related subjects will be highly regarded.
