ING is looking to hire multiple Senior Software Engineers to join a couple of our Scrum teams; Be part of a supportive and dynamic team, delivering innovative products which are at the forefront of digital banking in Australia. Apply your fullstack skills in software engineering technologies to create new features and improvements throughout our technology stack, from UI to service layer, integrating with our back end systems.

What are you going to do? You will be…

  • Work within a squad in an agile environment that’s fluid, high-velocity and inclusive
  • Work along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to working production
  • Write code that is easy to read, highly maintainable, and written with automated testing in mind and provisions for security / performance
  • Work closely with business, architects and testers
  • Understand user stories and journeys as well as technical requirement
  • Tech Stack: Java, Hibernate, EJB, SOAP/REST Services, Spring Boot

What are we looking for?

  • Significant experience in development/software engineering and has a strong knowledge of working in Agile organisations
  • Deep understanding of tools across full software delivery lifecycle, e.g. IDE, source control, CI, test, mocking, work tracking, defect management, etc
  • Proficient in full stack development (e.g. database, services and user interface) or mastery in one layer of the stack with sound understanding of other layers
  • Has experience with micro services and also preferably with SpringBoot
  • Extensive experience in building RESTful and SOAP Webservices
  • Enterprise platform experience with a high volume of transactions / users

Nice to have

  • Data stream with Kafka or similar product knowledge
  • OpenShift / Docker knowledge
