The Opportunity

Busy Bees Australia are seeking a passionate Service Manager/ Centre Director for our Brand New modern 96 Place service located at Busy Bees at Kensington Western Australia. We are looking for an innovative leader who wants to make a difference and support excellence in early childhood education. 

As a Service Manager, you love to lead, inspire staff and provide mentoring and support. You naturally build relationships with families and the local community and ensure your service delivers quality care. You will oversee team development, performance evaluations, staff scheduling, all elements of service enrolment process and other daily operations to maintain a successful business.

An added bonus of being a part of the Busy Bees Australia group, is that we have a dedicated Enrolments Team that will partner with you to facilitate a positive enrolment journey for your families, which means you will have more time to spend on positively contributing to other areas of the business that need focus rather than the sales pipeline.

Qualifications and experience required:

Previous leadership experience, at least 3 years leading and developing high achieving teams, providing a high standard of quality care. Experience working to compliance standards, hitting business targets and demonstrating the capability to build a strong and effective team environment. The successful Service Manager will also have experience leading and developing a team of professional educators. High level of administration and organisation skills are expected, business management abilities will be essential and confident people management skills will be regarded highly together with the following qualifications:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and or Early childhood teaching degree 
  • Current Working with Children Card;
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Learning and National Quality Framework including experience with the Assessment and Rating process
  • National Police Check

Duties

  • Ensure all enquiries are addressed appropriately and in a positive manner, providing relevant information to promote access to the service. These must be documented and reported on in accordance with policy and procedure
  • To coordinate and maintain all service information and ensure that record systems are up to date, in accordance with regulatory compliance, are easily accessible to management and are kept private and confidential from all other parties
  • Ensure that statutory and organizational requirements are met and current, including, but not limited to attendance sheets, allowable absences, childcare usage reports, child care benefits, receipts and enrolment information
  • Ensure that all procedures, including weekly reports, debt management and service purchasing (within agreed approval limits) are maintained and provided within the required time frames
  • Ensure that all subsidies and other funding are kept up to date and submitted on time for prompt payments
  • Ensure that equipment is used, maintained and monitored appropriately and an up to date inventory of furniture, fittings and equipment is available
  • Ensure that service presentation is maintained to the highest standard, including reporting, requesting repairs and notifying of maintenance issues
