RACV’s Group Tax Team provides professional expertise to enable the Business Strategy and to ensure RACV meets its regulatory requirements.

Working closely with the Tax Compliance Manager and General Manager of Group Tax, you will help manage the tax requirements for the RACV group entities.

We’re looking for someone who will be responsible for the delivery of tax related compliance obligations as well as compliance liaison for external taxation regulatory authorities and external tax advisors.

A day in the life

As Taxation Specialist, reporting to the General Manager Group Tax , you’ll support the business as a t rusted tax partner to internal stakeholders to support achievement of KPIs and positive financial outcomes.

You’ll also assist with the integration of business acquisitions and compliance on divestments and maintaining compliance processes and procedures for new businesses.

Key to your success will be your ability to:

  • Assist with the preparation of income tax returns, prepare and review FBT returns and monthly BAS, including liaising with external tax advisors
  • Ensure internal tax compliance obligations including year-end tax effect accounting is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Assist with external auditor’s requests to ensure appropriate audit outcomes
  • Utilise bespoke tax platforms for the preparation of compliance obligations
  • Recommend and implement business simplification initiatives relevant to tax
  • Maintain tax governance processes, procedures and controls
  • Coaching and training team members in new tax changes and solutions

About You

You’re a self-starter with excellent communication skills as well as being resilient. You have a passion for taxation and associated legislation with high level financial analysis, modelling and reporting skills.

Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines you will balance being tenacious and results-oriented along with commitment to continuous improvement.

You are a natural leader with strong relationship building skills, enjoy collaborating with people and building team awareness.

  • Tertiary qualifications in fields of taxation, commerce, finance, accounting and/or law.
  • Tax advisory experience (corporate and international tax) with large public companies or Chartered Accounting firms
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant
  • 3 years’ relevant post graduate business experience
  • Strong tax solutions background with exposure to different industries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with tax compliance software preferable
